多木化学 raised its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2026 and increased its single-payment year-end dividend forecast. The revision, which reflects the impact of higher raw-material costs, appears to have driven buying interest, and the share price updated its high since the start of June.
多木化学 raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2026 and increased its single-payment year-end dividend forecast at around 1 p.m. on the 6th. The share price surged in response, posting a substantial gain from the previous day.
Under the new earnings forecast, revenue was raised from ¥43.0 billion to ¥45.3 billion, while operating profit was raised from ¥2.45 billion to ¥3.45 billion. Prolonged tensions in the Middle East and supply constraints in China are pushing up raw-material prices, while price adjustments to offset higher input costs are also expected to progress.
The company indicated that it would increase its year-end dividend from the previous ¥80 to ¥105. The change in its dividend policy at the start of the fiscal year and stronger shareholder returns provided buying incentives, and the share price updated its year-to-date high on 5 June.
For the cumulative second quarter (January–June), revenue was ¥23.489 billion, up 12.0% year on year, while operating profit was ¥2.257 billion, up 32.6%. The share price closed at ¥5,420, up ¥190 from the previous day.
