アーレスティ has lowered its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year, revising it from the previously forecast profit to a loss. The first-half loss is also expected to widen.
アーレスティ announced an earnings forecast revision during the afternoon session on 29 September, lowering its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from the previously forecast profit of ¥800 million to a loss of ¥800 million. The same period of the previous year was profitable. It also revised its April–September first-half forecast, widening the previously forecast loss of ¥1.2 billion to a loss of ¥1.85 billion.
The reasons for the revision included lower order volumes from certain major customers in the die-casting business in Asia, including at its Chinese plant, despite progress in revising selling prices in response to higher energy and labor costs, as well as higher selling prices reflecting rising raw-material costs and the foreign-exchange translation impact of the weaker yen. Operating profit is expected to fall below the previous forecast because of lower orders, reduced profitability in North America, and higher aluminum ingot prices.
The current fiscal year's earnings forecasts were revised to net sales of ¥180.8 billion, ordinary profit of -¥800 million, and net income of -¥0 million. The post-revision dividend per share was set at ¥34. The outlook for interim net income remains undetermined because of the booking of special retirement payments and other factors during the interim period.
