An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server has been launched to enable companies’ generative AI to directly access and use data from the スキルナビ skills management system.
スキルナビ is a system that has focused on skills management for many years. Its data is built on a proprietary database that systematically organizes complex information covering job types, tasks, skills, qualifications and proficiency levels. The new MCP server is positioned as a new feature that enables external AI services to use this data.
The stated purpose of the new functionality is to enable users to access and use スキルナビ data from generative AI and internal chat tools used in their daily work. It is expected to support searches for and analysis of employee information, as well as the development of training plans through conversation.
Use cases cited include identifying candidates who meet the qualifications and skills required to fill vacancies, quantifying training initiatives and creating data for disclosure, and organizing competency fulfillment status for ISO audits and developing training plans. These use cases assume integration between the MCP server and AI services.
From a security perspective, the service provides connection environments segregated for each customer and uses an architecture that allows only the necessary information to be accessed while the data remains within スキルナビ. The company explains that there is no mechanism for exporting data externally and that the data is not made available for AI model training.
