Major consumer electronics retailer ケーズホールディングス has raised its earnings forecast for the six months ending September 2026. Demand for air conditioners is expected to lift overall results as consumers bring forward purchases.
ケーズホールディングス has raised its earnings forecast for the six months ending September 2026 on a consolidated basis, increasing its revenue forecast to ¥412 billion. Revenue is expected to reach a record high for an interim period, while operating income, ordinary income and net income are forecast at ¥25 billion, ¥26 billion and ¥18 billion, respectively.
The ¥14 billion increase in the revenue forecast from the previous estimate is attributed to last-minute demand for air conditioners. The possibility of price increases following higher energy-efficiency standards is believed to have boosted demand for air conditioners.
For the consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company raised its revenue forecast to ¥790 billion. However, in light of higher selling, general and administrative expenses, it left its operating income and net income forecasts unchanged from the initial estimates.
