Ricoh extended its gains. Following a Nikkei report that the public and private sectors are moving to mass-produce perovskite solar cells, METI is considering a policy to select Ricoh and 長州産業 as recipients of subsidies.
Ricoh's share price extended its gains. The morning edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun dated the 27th reported that the public and private sectors are moving to mass-produce perovskite, a next-generation solar cell.
METI is expected to soon select Ricoh and 長州産業 as recipients of GX-related subsidies, and is reportedly planning to provide approximately ¥100 billion in total by FY2029. The companies are expected to invest an amount equal to or greater than the subsidies and build mass-production plants through public-private investment.
Following the report, shares of ISE CHEMICALS CORPORATION and K&O Energy Group, which handle iodine, a raw material for perovskite solar cells, also attracted buying.
