Bike Mirai Research Institute announced its Resale Price rankings for June to August 2026. Honda X-ADV ranked 1st overall, while the newly listed Yamaha YZF-R9 came in 2nd.
Bike Mirai Research Institute published the top 10 motorcycles with the highest resale prices through Bike Life Lab, covering the four major Japanese manufacturers for the period from June to August 2026. In the overall rankings, the Honda X-ADV retained the top spot with 171.7 points. XM-ADV rose 32.2 points from the previous period, securing the top position for 7 consecutive periods.
Newly entering the rankings in 2nd place, the Yamaha YZF-R9 scored 122.7 points overall. It was not covered in the previous period but entered the top 10 for the first time. The YZF-R9 is a supersport motorcycle based on the MT-09 series engine, featuring a dedicated aluminum frame and stability for road use.
Honda placed the X-ADV at the top of its overall top 5, followed by the CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT, NC750X DCT, Gold Wing Tour and NC750X. In addition to the YZF-R9, Yamaha placed the MT-09 SP ABS and TRACER9 GT among its top 5. Suzuki and Kawasaki also placed multiple models in the top 5, demonstrating the category’s diversity.
For the survey methodology, the rankings covered the latest models of motorcycles sold domestically and were calculated based on new-vehicle prices as of the end of September 2026. Distribution results during the period were independently aggregated to compile the rankings.
