Sekisui Jushi raised its consolidated net income forecast for the first half of the current fiscal year from ¥2.15 billion to ¥3 billion. Net income for the same period a year earlier was ¥1.11 billion. The full-year net income forecast remains unchanged at ¥5.4 billion.
Sekisui Jushi announced an earnings revision on the morning of 29 October 2026. It increased its consolidated net income for the cumulative second-quarter period (April-September) from the previous forecast, raising its earnings outlook for the current fiscal year.
Under the new outlook, consolidated net income for the first half of the current fiscal year is projected at ¥3 billion, compared with the previous forecast of ¥2.15 billion and ¥1.11 billion for the same period a year earlier. The rate of profit growth is expected to expand substantially.
However, the full-year net income forecast remains unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥5.4 billion. Even after reflecting the quarterly revision, there is no change to the full-year figure disclosed.
The reasons cited for the revision include the impact of higher raw material prices and unfavorable weather conditions. Although revenue and operating income are expected to fall below the previous forecasts, ordinary income is expected to exceed them, driven by earlier-than-expected demand in some businesses and increased sales of temporary traffic safety products in Europe.
