富士ソフト has begun selling a starter kit combining the LTE Cat.4-compatible USB dongle “+F FS040U” and SORACOM IoT SIM on the SORACOM IoT Store. The price is ¥23,804 including tax.
富士ソフト has launched the “LTE USB Dongle +F FS040U Starter Kit,” combining the “+F FS040U” USB dongle, which enables LTE communications when connected to a PC’s USB port, with a SIM that can be purchased through the SORACOM IoT Store. The kit is intended for IoT equipment and business applications and is priced at ¥23,804 including tax.
The dongle supports LTE Cat.4. Connecting it to the USB port of a Windows or Linux device enables configuration and cellular communications. Its compact, lightweight design measures approximately 95.0 mm × 32.0 mm × 12.2 mm thick and weighs approximately 39 g, making it suitable for embedded applications and uses where installation space is limited.
For security, the device has obtained JC-STAR ★1 certification for IoT products and is expected to be adopted for business applications requiring security compliance. It is configured by default in secure connection mode and supports AT command control, enabling flexible integration.
The starter kit includes the +F FS040U, a SORACOM Air SIM card plan-K2 (K2-500MB), and a ¥2,000 coupon. It is described as enabling the rapid deployment of data transfer, storage, dashboard display and remote access through cloud-connected services.
