ソラコム will begin offering a starter kit containing an LTE USB dongle, +F FS040U and SORACOM IoT SIM from 14 October. It has obtained JC-STAR ★1 certification and is distinguished by its compliance with security requirements.
ソラコム will offer a starter kit combining the LTE Cat.4-compatible USB dongle “+F FS040U” and “SORACOM IoT SIM” through its device e-commerce site, the SORACOM IoT Store, from 14 October. The price is ¥23,804 including tax, with shipping charged separately.
The +F FS040U connects via USB and enables cellular communications when integrated into a device running Windows or Linux. Measuring approximately 95.0 × 32.0 × 12.2 mm and weighing approximately 39 g, it is suitable for embedded applications and uses where installation space is limited.
The standard configuration at launch is secure connection mode. Users can select dial-up (RAS) using a modem or a connection via NDIS. The device also supports AT command control, allowing flexible integration with IoT systems. It has obtained JC-STAR ★1 certification and is suitable for business deployments that place emphasis on security requirements.
The starter kit includes the +F FS040U unit, a SORACOM Air SIM card (plan-K2, trio size, K2-500MB), and a ¥2,000 coupon for SORACOM service fees. The coupon is valid for 6 months. The service is available only in Japan and is covered by Japan’s network coverage.
