At its FY2026 first-quarter earnings briefing, Macbee Planet reported results in line with its initial expectations. Although revenue declined year on year, selling, general and administrative expenses improved as advertising expenses were reduced, resulting in higher operating profit. The company also explained its policies for the group restructuring and new management structure.
Consolidated revenue for the first quarter from 1 May 2026 to 31 July 2026 was ¥12.29 billion, down 3.8% year on year. Although lower advertising rates for online medical consultations weighed on revenue, gross profit edged up as the rise in media costs in the lending and card sectors subsided, while operating profit exceeded the previous year’s level due to reduced advertising expenses. Quarterly profit attributable to owners of the parent declined due to the temporary impact of a tax-rate variance, but results were in line with the initial expectations. Earnings per share edged down due to the impact of the share buyback.
By segment, revenue in the LTV Marketing business was ¥12.032 billion and segment profit was ¥1.44 billion. Existing engagements expanded and new orders remained solid, although some customer-related factors had an impact. By industry, securities, lending, cards and other sectors increased, while Wellness revenue declined due to a substantial decrease in online medical consultations, and the human resources industry also declined.
Regarding the management structure, the representative director and president changed to new President Shoda Hideyuki (正田英之) in July 2026, while founder Mr Matsumoto (松本) continued to serve alongside him as representative director and chairman. As part of the group restructuring, the company resolved to transfer its shares in All Ads and make it an equity-method affiliate. The consolidated employee count is expected to change from 201 to 107, while group transaction volume is expected to remain at current levels. The transfer proceeds will be allocated to new businesses and M&A investments.
