Mitsui High-tec raised its consolidated earnings forecast for the current fiscal year, projecting revenue of ¥272 billion, up ¥18 billion from its previous forecast, and net income of ¥14.5 billion. The upward revision was driven by strong sales of motor components for hybrid vehicles, while the impact of the weaker yen was also reflected.
By business, the outlook for motor components was raised by 17.7%, as demand for hybrid vehicles, which account for more than 80% of applications, is growing mainly in Europe and the United States, supporting strong order activity. Revenue from lead frames for semiconductors is expected to increase by 42.7%, supported by higher demand from AI data centers and the automotive sector.
The six-month consolidated results announced the same day showed revenue of ¥130.6 billion, up 20.6% year on year, and net income of ¥9.9 billion, 2.4 times the year-earlier level.
