Mitsui High-tec raised its full-year earnings forecast alongside the release of its consolidated results for the February-July period. The main factors were higher sales of lead frames and motor cores, as well as a review of expenses.
Alongside the release of its results for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending January 2027, Mitsui High-tec raised its full-year revenue forecast from ¥254.0 billion to ¥272.0 billion and its operating profit forecast from ¥14.5 billion to ¥19.5 billion. The main factors were higher sales of lead frames in the electronic components business and motor cores in the electrical components business, while a review of expenses also boosted profit.
Revenue for the six months ended July was ¥130.672 billion and operating profit was ¥11.818 billion, representing substantial year-on-year increases in both revenue and operating profit. The electrical components business benefited from steady demand for motor cores, while the electronic components business was supported by stronger demand for automotive and consumer products, as well as price pass-through and the weaker yen.
