Koei Tecmo Holdings raised its interim earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. The new forecast calls for revenue of ¥37.0 billion, operating profit of ¥11.5 billion, ordinary profit of ¥25.0 billion and interim net profit of ¥18.0 billion.
From the previous forecast, revenue is expected to increase 8.8%, operating profit 64.3%, ordinary profit 108.3% and interim net profit 100.0%, with net profit expected to double. Strong sales of major titles and back-catalogue products were cited as the main reasons for the revision.
The company also expects non-operating income and expenses to exceed plan as a result of managing its assets while closely monitoring financial-market conditions. This has created a wider gap between the revisions to operating profit and ordinary profit. The full-year forecast has not been revised at this point.
Management said it would continue to monitor the business environment and financial-market conditions, and indicated that it would consider further measures depending on developments.
