Koei Tecmo HD sharply raised its cumulative second-quarter earnings forecast. Net sales have been raised to ¥37 billion and operating profit to ¥11.5 billion, while ordinary profit and net profit are also expected to improve significantly.
Koei Tecmo Holdings announced an upward revision to its cumulative second-quarter consolidated earnings forecast on 19 October. Under the new outlook, net sales are ¥37 billion (previous forecast: ¥34 billion), operating profit is ¥11.5 billion (¥7 billion), ordinary profit is ¥25 billion (¥12 billion), net profit is ¥18 billion (¥9 billion), and forecast EPS is ¥57.62. All indicators have improved significantly from the previous forecast.
The company cited strong sales of major titles released in the previous fiscal year and back-catalogue titles. It said that financial income and expenses are expected to exceed plan as a result of operations conducted while monitoring financial market conditions, contributing to higher ordinary profit and net profit.
The full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 remains unchanged at this point, although the company said it will continue to consider the outlook while monitoring the business environment and financial market conditions.
