At its FY2026 first-quarter results briefing, DAIHEN Corporation reported record-high revenue of ¥55.5 billion and operating income of ¥4 billion. The company said EMS order intake had surged to ¥45 billion, approximately 2.6 times the same period of the previous fiscal year.
For the April-June 2026 quarter, DAIHEN Corporation reported revenue of ¥55.5 billion and operating income of ¥4 billion, both exceeding the same period of the previous fiscal year and setting new record highs. The company identified increased investment related to decarbonisation and rising electricity demand driven by the construction and expansion of data centres and semiconductor plants as the main factors behind the growth.
By segment, Material Processing showed strong growth, with revenue rising 37.4% to ¥22.7 billion. Energy Management declined because of a reaction to the impact of large projects, but the company expected it to increase for the full year. Factory Automation demand also remained firm.
EMS order intake is expected to reach ¥45 billion, approximately 2.6 times the previous fiscal year. The company said it is targeting more than ¥70 billion in FY2030. Its Synergy Link solution, which leverages growing demand for co-located battery storage and the company's strengths in low-cost, energy-efficient control, drew attention.
As part of its production capacity expansion, a new plant is scheduled to begin full-scale operations in October 2026, expanding maximum annual production to 3,000 units, 1.7 times the previous level. The company is also advancing the rollout of physical AI robots and WAAM-based metal additive manufacturing as new products, and aims to set a new record high for its full-year plan in FY2030.
