きんえい revised its first-half ordinary profit forecast upward after the market close on 4 September, changing it from the previous forecast of ¥90 million to ¥132 million. The figure was ¥181 million in the same period of the previous year. The company also revised its full-year forecast upward, with ordinary profit expected to rise to ¥275 million.
According to the interim earnings revision released by きんえい on 4 September 2026, first-half ordinary profit came to ¥132 million, exceeding the previous forecast of ¥90 million. The figure was ¥181 million in the same period of the previous year.
The revision was attributed to sales and concession revenue in the cinema and amusement business exceeding forecasts, supported by hit films; earlier-than-expected tenant occupancy in the real estate business; and strong parking revenue. Cost controls also contributed.
Accordingly, the full-year ordinary profit forecast was also revised upward, changing from ¥240 million to ¥275 million. The expected decline rate is set to narrow, changing from 22.8% to 11.6%. Revised figures for net income for the current fiscal year and earnings per share were also raised.
The second-quarter earnings report is scheduled to be released on 8 September 2026 (Tuesday).
