On 6 August, ASKUL appointed Narimatsu Takeshi (成松 岳志), formerly Executive Officer and General Manager of the Business Strategy Division, as President and CEO. Under the new management structure, the company outlined a policy of deepening relationships with existing customers and pursuing AI-enabled personalization and agent commerce, centered on increasing LTV.
Narimatsu Takeshi (成松 岳志) explained that the appointment was formally decided in June this year following ongoing discussions with his predecessor, Yoshioka (吉岡), and that it came at a time of generational change aimed at renewed growth after recovery from the ransomware attack was completed in February. He said the medium-term management plan would not change significantly, but that the materials presented to customers during the incident had served to validate the plan, and that the company was prioritizing early scaling.
The company indicated a shift in strategy from expanding product categories centered on penetration into the manufacturing sector to strengthening customer relationships and prioritizing LTV. Narimatsu Takeshi (成松 岳志) said he would continue the medium-term plan while reflecting his own vision, and would focus on testing the customer responses received and moving quickly to execution.
Narimatsu Takeshi (成松 岳志) was born in 1979 and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Keio University. After joining ASKUL in 2007, he served as General Manager of the LOHACO Business Division and General Manager of the Logistics Division before becoming CEO in August 2026.
