Marvelous announced the upcoming release of "Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life" for Meta VR Glasses, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. The game is scheduled for release in spring 2027, while its price has yet to be determined. It is also being highlighted as the company's first mixed reality title.
Based on "Story of Seasons: Welcome! Wonderful Life," released in 2023, the game incorporates numerous experiences unique to mixed reality, which combines augmented and virtual reality. A key feature is the ability to interact with the new setting, known as Forgotten Valley, as though it could be touched by hand.
In addition to traditional farm-life activities such as tending fields, caring for animals, shipping produce and shopping, fishing, excavation and interaction with villagers will also be recreated in mixed reality. The game emphasizes full hand tracking, allowing intuitive control through hand movements without using a controller.
Mini-games designed to heighten the sense of immersion include milking cows and shearing sheep. The game also introduces experiences centered on creating memories with family and planning one's life in a mixed reality environment.
