Itoham Yonekyu Holdings announced that consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is expected to be ¥18 billion, down 11% from the previous fiscal year. Price increases for processed foods were delayed more than expected, while interest expenses on borrowings are expected to weigh on earnings.
Itoham Yonekyu Holdings forecasts consolidated net profit of ¥18 billion for the fiscal year ending March 2027, down 11% from the previous fiscal year. It cut its previous forecast by ¥500 million, setting revenue at ¥1.12 trillion and operating profit at ¥28 billion. Revenue is up 5% year on year and operating profit is down 2%; although the acquisition of Greenlea contributed, weak performance in the processed foods business and interest expenses prevented net profit from increasing.
At a press conference held the same day, President Urata Hiroyuki (浦田 寛之) indicated a policy of making detailed adjustments to the extent of price increases for each business partner. In the consolidated results for April–September 2026, revenue was ¥539 billion and net profit was ¥7.5 billion, down 1% and 21% year on year, respectively. Sales volume growth fell short of expectations despite measures to raise prices in response to soaring material and logistics costs.
