Nippon Ham revised down its fiscal 2026 earnings forecast, revising net income to ¥35 billion, a decline of ¥3 billion, while leaving its revenue assumption unchanged at ¥1.5 trillion.
Nippon Ham, headquartered in Osaka, announced that it had revised down its earnings forecast for fiscal 2026.
In its consolidated results for the six months from April through September this year, revenue was ¥769.358 billion, up 6.5% year on year, while net income was ¥17.394 billion, down 25.0%.
Although sales volumes in the domestic meat business remained firm, higher raw material prices in the processed foods business put pressure on profit. For the full-year forecast, the company left revenue unchanged while lowering its net income forecast by ¥3 billion to ¥35 billion.
Since August, Nippon Ham has been changing the specifications and prices of some products. For its flagship Schau Essen product, it announced an effective price increase by increasing the weight while reducing the package contents by 10g.
