“Secret Simmering Sauce, supervised by 徳造丸,” jointly developed by 徳造丸, a fishing operator in Inatori, Izu, and Ebara Foods Industry, has been launched initially in Shizuoka Prefecture. The joint development aims to offer a seasoning that makes it easy to recreate local flavors at home.
The product is named “Secret Simmering Sauce, supervised by 徳造丸,” has a net content of 300 ml, and has a suggested retail price of ¥460 excluding tax. It is initially being launched in Shizuoka Prefecture. The sauce is intended for basic seasoning of simmered fish and can be used not only for simmered alfonsino but also for cooking other fish and ingredients.
The original flavor recreates at home the simmering sauce used at a fishing operator’s restaurant in Inatori, Izu. Simply dilute it with water at a 1:1 ratio to recreate an “easy, professional-quality flavor,” with the aim of passing local flavors on to the next generation.
Through this initiative, the companies hope to share the flavors and background of Izu more widely and encourage home dining experiences to inspire visits to the region.
