徳造丸, founded in Izu-Inatori, first launched “徳造丸監修 秘伝の煮汁,” a secret simmering sauce supervised by 徳造丸 and jointly developed with EBARA Foods Industry,Inc., in Shizuoka Prefecture. The product commercializes the flavor of the sauce used in the company's traditional fisherman-style cuisine and is intended to recreate the flavor of simmered kinmedai.
The seasoning draws on the sweetness of mirin and adds the flavors of burdock root and ginger. In addition to simmered kinmedai, it can be used for simmering readily available fish and other ingredients. The product has a net volume of 300 ml and is promoted as convenient for home cooking.
徳造丸 was founded in Izu-Inatori in 1926 and says it aims to promote the local flavor and revitalize the region by commercializing the area's culture of simmered kinmedai through this sauce. Cumulative sales had exceeded 2 million bottles as of October 2025, and the company aims to provide further opportunities for people to visit Izu.
