RareJob announced that Sugihara Satoshi (杉原聡) became president and representative director effective 1 October 2026, while Nakamura Gaku (中村岳) stepped down. EdTech company RareJob announced that Sugihara Satoshi (杉原聡) became president and representative director effective 1 October 2026, while Nakamura Gaku (中村岳), who had served as president and representative director, stepped down effective 30 September. In addition, the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Gakken Holdings in July 2026.
The management overhaul is intended to strengthen collaboration across the education business by combining the Gakken group’s education network with the online English conversation expertise RareJob has developed. Going forward, the company plans to update its platform into a high-quality learning platform covering everyone from preschool children to working adults, making use of the complementary nature of Kimini English Conversation for juniors and RareJob English Conversation.
New president Sugihara Satoshi (杉原聡) founded Glats, which operates Kimini English Conversation, in 2016 and joined the Gakken group. After achieving its conversion into a wholly owned subsidiary of the group in 2024, he served in 2025 as an executive officer of the group in charge of language education and as a senior managing director of Gakken, leading the group-wide AI and data-utilization strategy.
