OpenAI will hold DevDay 2026 in San Francisco on 29 September. The keynote will be streamed from 2:00 a.m. on 30 September Japan time, and previously unannounced APIs, tools and technologies are expected to be presented.
OpenAI plans to hold its annual developer event, OpenAI DevDay 2026, on 29 September US time, with a keynote by CEO Sam Altman streamed live to the public. OpenAI has announced that it will introduce new APIs, tools and technologies under development.
Several reports about previously unannounced services have emerged just before the event. These include signs of a function described as an AI agent that operates in the background, as well as information that Managed Agents, which integrates management of agents' execution environments, Skills and Plugins, is being prepared.
Signs have also been found of a higher-tier plan called Pro Max, believed to cost approximately $500 per month, with wording such as “Fastest Work and Codex” confirmed. A formal announcement, however, has not been confirmed.
Fortune has reported plans to release “GPT-6 Cyber” within several weeks, as well as a new product that would allow AI to discover and fix vulnerabilities. It is unclear whether this will be announced on the day of DevDay.
Attention is also focused this year on the arrival of OpenAI's first full-scale hardware product, but no conclusive information supporting an announcement at DevDay has emerged. The keynote is attracting considerable attention.
