Box Japan announced on 11 September that it had expanded its collaboration with OpenAI to provide an environment for securely accessing and using business content stored in Box from ChatGPT.
Box Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of Box, a US-based provider of an intelligent content management platform, announced that it was expanding its collaboration with OpenAI to connect business content in Box with AI. This will enable enterprise ChatGPT users to access data on Box directly and securely.
In the environment provided, Box content will continue to be organized, managed and governed in Box, with usage controlled by Box’s granular access permissions. Companies will be able to use AI in their operations while maintaining their existing security and governance frameworks.
Users can navigate Box’s folder structure in ChatGPT, browse, search and select content, and find and use information without switching applications. Examples of potential uses include consolidating clinical research findings, reviewing legal contracts, conducting financial analysis, updating audit materials and editing creative briefs.
