Mitsubishi Shipbuilding named and launched the large survey vessel for the Japan Coast Guard “Takuyo.” The vessel was launched at the Eura Plant in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The vessel measures approximately 80.0 meters in overall length and approximately 14.0 meters in beam, with gross tonnage of approximately 1,900 tons.
The vessel is being built to strengthen Japan’s maritime security capabilities, with delivery scheduled during fiscal 2027.
