Macnica Holdings announced that it will acquire a 50.1% stake in CyberSec IT Consulting, based in Dubai, UAE, and make it a subsidiary. The transfer is scheduled for late November 2026, and the acquisition price has not been disclosed.
CyberSec provides managed operations and consulting for security systems, technical training, implementation and technical support. The Macnica Group aims to expand its services in the Middle East and Africa by leveraging its existing transaction history, customer base and sales network.
Macnica Holdings positions cybersecurity as its second core business after semiconductor wholesaling and is pursuing a model that combines software sales with implementation support. It has set a target of increasing sales from its security-related business to ¥230 billion by FY2027, with the acquisition described as a preparatory step toward that goal.
In the Middle East, the company also acquired a cybersecurity-related business in 2023. Through this latest move to make CyberSec a subsidiary, it plans to further strengthen its presence in the region and expand its service delivery structure by integrating local customer access points and operational expertise.
