不二家 revised its current fiscal-year ordinary profit forecast from the previous ¥3.65 billion to ¥2.2 billion, a 39.7% downward revision. The second-half plan was also cut sharply. Although ordinary profit expanded to ¥290 million in the latest third quarter, sales fell below a flat level.
不二家 disclosed its results after the close of trading on 26 October, revealing that consolidated ordinary profit for the nine months ended September 2026, the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026, was ¥750 million, down 60.5% year on year. Sales remained solid, while the operating margin on sales deteriorated.
In the full-year forecast announced the same day, the previous forecast of ¥3.65 billion was sharply revised down to ¥2.2 billion, and the projected profit for the second half was also substantially reduced. As a result, the full-year profit outlook changed to a 39.0% decline.
