DAISHO revised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 downward from the previous forecast of ¥1.22 billion to ¥910 million. The second-half plan was also cut substantially, reflecting lower-than-expected existing-store sales and higher raw material prices.
On 9 October, DAISHO revised its full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending August 2026 from the previous forecast of ¥1.22 billion to ¥910 million. Ordinary profit is now expected to decline by approximately 23.6% year on year, while the figures after the downward revision are based on a recalculation that includes actual results for the April-August period.
The reasons for the revision announced by the company included existing-store sales in its restaurant business falling below plan. The decline in sales and the resulting increase in the cost ratio due to higher raw material prices weighed on profit. In addition, extraordinary losses, including losses on the retirement of fixed assets and impairment losses associated with store closures and renovations, increased more than initially anticipated.
The current fiscal year's earnings forecast also reflects revisions to the second half. Revenue was cut to ¥26,471 million, ordinary profit to ¥914 million and net income to ¥394 million, while revised earnings per share stands at ¥18.8. All of these figures are on a consolidated basis.
