Kyoto Marriott Hotel in Okazaki, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, opens on 1 November 2026. It has 214 rooms and meeting and event facilities accommodating up to 270 people, enabling lodging and corporate events to be operated together.
Kyoto Marriott Hotel reopened following the renovation and rebranding of Hotel Heian no Mori Kyoto through a partnership between HMI Hotel Group and Marriott International. It opened on 1 November 2026 and operates from a location near tourist attractions including Heian-jingu Shrine and Nanzen-ji Temple.
The meeting and event facilities comprise 7 rooms with a total area of approximately 900 sq. m. They accommodate up to 270 people and offer support from dedicated event planners and catering services. A key feature is the ability to use guest accommodation and event facilities within the same building.
The hotel has 214 guestrooms, including suites. Their design incorporates the residential culture of Higashiyama, with shoin-zukuri-style details, natural materials and colors inspired by Kyo-yaki ceramics, creating spaces with a distinctly Kyoto character. The hotel will also provide a 24-hour fitness center, parking and a shuttle bus to Kyoto Station.
The hotel has 2 restaurants: the all-day dining venue Kyo Warabe and Japanese restaurant Raku Raku. The layout is centered on the Great Room, creating circulation that integrates the lobby and restaurants and providing accommodation, dining and social spaces as one experience.
