霞ヶ関キャピタルマレーシア has signed a basic agreement, or memorandum of understanding (MOU), with JLG Capital, a subsidiary of JLand Group, to develop automated frozen-storage warehouses and create business opportunities in temperature-controlled logistics infrastructure. This clarifies the policy of taking overseas the expertise in automated warehouse systems developed in Japan.
Under the partnership, 霞ヶ関キャピタルマレーシア will provide experience in planning and design, development expertise, leasing and warehouse operations, while JLG Capital will be responsible for site acquisition, local coordination, financing support and providing a local development platform.
The facilities are expected to cover a broad range of uses, including not only frozen and refrigerated warehouses but also ambient-temperature storage for products requiring temperature control. The parties will proceed with discussions on evaluating and considering specific projects and establishing a joint venture.
Both companies intend to accelerate project development, with a view to leveraging strategic growth platforms such as JS-SEZ. They aim to expand across Southeast Asia by building a successful model in Malaysia.
