In its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending November 2026, MORITO posted revenue of ¥33.068 billion, operating profit of ¥2.058 billion and ordinary profit of ¥2.162 billion, all marking record highs since the company began reporting half-year results. The full-year forecast was left unchanged, while the company indicated its intention to raise DOE to 5% for shareholder returns.
In its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending November 2026, MORITO reported revenue of ¥33.068 billion, up 28.1% year on year, operating profit of ¥2.058 billion, up 31.2%, and ordinary profit of ¥2.162 billion, up 26.4%, all marking record highs since the company began reporting half-year results. Demand for air-conditioned clothing at consolidated subsidiary ミツボシコーポレーション and growth in existing businesses drove overall performance, while net profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 29.9% to ¥1.645 billion, due to the base effect from goodwill in the previous fiscal year.
Factors behind the increases in revenue and profit included the consolidation of Ms.ID and ミツボシコーポレーション, solid performance in apparel and accessories, and expansion of the organic business. The gross profit margin also improved and remained in the 30% range. Although changes in expense items, including higher personnel costs, limited the extent of profit growth, profitability improved overall. President Ichitsubo (市坪) said at the start of the earnings briefing that revenue, operating profit and ordinary profit had all reached record highs.
By segment and region, apparel-related revenue was ¥20.016 billion, up 44.9% year on year; transportation-related revenue was ¥3.298 billion; and product-related revenue was ¥9.752 billion, with all three increasing from the previous fiscal year. Japan accounted for approximately 74% of the total, while Asia, Europe and the Americas also grew. Transportation-related operations were affected by sluggish performance among Japanese automakers in North America and a decline in the Chinese market.
The full-year forecast remains unchanged at revenue of ¥63.0 billion, operating profit of ¥3.5 billion, ordinary profit of ¥3.7 billion and net profit of ¥3.0 billion. The company said it would conservatively factor in the impact of the situation in the Middle East and carefully estimate risk-related expenses for the second half. It expects to increase the annual dividend to ¥72 for the sixth consecutive period, raise its DOE target to 5% going forward and aim for 6% in 2031. The company also announced its new medium-term management plan, “ACTION 1000.”
