The new product “Beef Sukiyaki Rice Bowl,” jointly developed by 4 group companies, will go on sale at all group stores from 1 October. It features a classic sukiyaki-style combination of a warishita sauce made with Hidaka kelp stock and beef short plate with assorted ingredients, and is said to develop a richer flavor when heated in a microwave.
United Super Markets Holdings and 4 group companies jointly developed the new “Beef Sukiyaki Rice Bowl,” which will launch on 1 October. It is scheduled to be sold at stores across the group and is priced at ¥598 before tax, or ¥599 at Maruetsu.
The product was developed by representatives from the 4 companies who formed a cross-functional team and standardized the ingredients. The sauce uses Hidaka kelp from Hokkaido, and is designed to bring out the flavor of the beef short plate. The other ingredients are green onions, shirataki noodles, grilled tofu and simmered egg.
Heating the product in a microwave is said to bring out a richer flavor.
