United Supermarkets Holdings will launch frozen steamed pork buns under its private label “eatime” on 2 October. Each pack contains 2 buns weighing 200g in total and is priced at ¥298 before tax.
“Fluffy, Chewy, Happiness-Steamed Pork Buns” use a two-stage fermentation method to improve the dough’s texture, with domestically produced pork and onions used in the filling. The additional fermentation stage creates a balance between a fluffy mouthfeel and sweetness. The product is sold as a 2-piece, 200g set priced at ¥298, under the eatime private label.
The product will be sold at Maruetsu, Kasumi, Inageya, and AEON Food Style stores, excluding some locations. It is also scheduled to be available through online delivery on Scan & Go ignica, providing purchase opportunities both in stores and online.
Sales are scheduled to begin on 7 October at Kasumi stores only. The launch dates for other stores have not been specifically stated.
