AI report functionality added to AI医事課長 (AI medical billing manager) to automate analysis work in medical billing departments. File format support expanded to include PDFs and other formats, significantly reducing processing time.
FIXER announced that it will add new AI report functionality to AI医事課長 (AI medical billing manager), its medical billing operations support service. The functionality will automatically generate management analysis reports from accumulated data, with the aim of automating analysis operations and improving efficiency in the field.
The core of the new functionality is AI report generation. It adopts a human-in-the-loop process in which medical billing department staff review and assess an AI-generated draft before output. Users can provide revision instructions in a chat interface and directly edit specific charts for fine-tuning. As a result, analysis work that previously took approximately 8 hours is expected to be completed in approximately 2 hours.
The expansion of supported file formats enables the import of PDF notices, including claim reconciliation inspection result notices and erroneous claim re-review notices, in addition to UKE files and CSV files. By instantly analyzing differences in format, the AI enables consistent data aggregation across regional variations.
Medical billing department analysis work is performed alongside billing operations and has become a bottleneck in the field. The latest functionality is intended to reduce the workload involved in the analysis and improvement phase after billing. Going forward, the company plans to expand the range of importable file formats further and support more granular analysis, such as by hospital ward and doctor.
