Panasonic Holdings raised its consolidated forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 and increased its net profit forecast from ¥450 billion to ¥540 billion. As a result, net profit for the period is expected to reach a record high.
The forecast upgrade was attributed to expanding data-center demand accompanying the spread of AI and stronger-than-expected sales growth for the electronic components produced by the company.
An overview of the consolidated interim results for the six months ended September 2026, announced the same day, showed revenue up 7.1% year on year at ¥4.0925 trillion and net profit up 94.5% at ¥276.9 billion. The results showed that performance in the interim period was also strong.
The company indicated that it would maintain resilient profitability by capturing solid demand, particularly related to data centers, while expanding sales of AI-related equipment.
