Kanto Denka Kogyo raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from the previous estimate and expects to set a record high for the first time in 4 fiscal years. It also significantly raised its first-half profit forecast and revised its full-year earnings outlook.
After the market close on 22 October 2026, Kanto Denka Kogyo announced that it had raised its full-year consolidated ordinary profit forecast from the previous estimate of ¥11.3 billion to ¥14.5 billion. The year-on-year increase is expected to widen substantially, from 70.5% to roughly 2x.
At the same time, the forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the April–September period was raised from ¥6.6 billion to ¥9.5 billion, a substantial improvement from ¥970 million in the same period of the previous year. The company now expects to set a record high for first-half profit.
The reasons for the revision include higher revenue from specialty gas products as demand for semiconductors expands, progress in passing on surging raw-material costs through to prices, and the effects of cost reductions. The company has reiterated its full-year outlook on the assumption that the profit-boosting effect of raw-material receipt and payment factors will diminish from the third quarter onward.
The revised earnings table for the current fiscal year compares the previous and new forecasts, showing substantial increases in items including revenue, ordinary profit and net income. The announcement date and accounting basis are presented consistently under the consolidated results format.
