クロスプラス revised its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending January 2027 and indicated that operating profit is expected to be half the initial plan. It also released interim results and the main factors behind them.
クロスプラス revised its consolidated interim and full-year forecasts for the fiscal year ending January 2027 on 4 September. Full-year revenue is projected at ¥61.0 billion, operating profit at ¥700 million, ordinary profit at ¥900 million, and net income attributable to owners of the parent at ¥900 million. Operating profit is down 50.0% from the previous forecast.
The revised interim outlook calls for revenue of ¥28.5 billion, operating profit of ¥230 million, ordinary profit of ¥350 million, and interim net income of ¥100 million. Compared with the previous forecast, operating profit is down 61.7% and interim net income is down 81.8%. Results for the same period of the previous year were revenue of ¥29.2 billion, operating profit of ¥930 million, and interim net income of ¥886 million.
The main reason for the downward revision was weak performance in apparel wholesale, with sales to specialty retailers struggling. The company was unable to recover from weak sales of summer apparel, while higher procurement costs due to the weaker yen and delays in passing on higher costs reduced the gross profit margin. Higher selling, general and administrative expenses associated with the acquisition of シャルズ also had an impact.
Retail, meanwhile, remained firm. Stores and e-commerce operations that expanded their apparel offerings from アルファキュービック and miscellaneous goods from デコイ posted higher sales. Both stores and e-commerce are expected to remain firm for the full year, and the company expects higher revenue from making シャルズ a consolidated subsidiary. However, the impact of the weaker yen is expected to continue to weigh on wholesale profit.
