クロスプラス cut its ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year from the previous forecast of ¥1.65 billion to ¥900 million, widening the projected full-year decline. The first-half forecast was also revised, with the weaker yen and acquisition-related costs cited as factors.
After market close on 4 September, クロスプラス announced revisions to its earnings forecasts, sharply cutting its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending January 2027 from the previous forecast of ¥1.65 billion to ¥900 million. Accordingly, consolidated ordinary profit for the first half, covering February to July, was also revised downward from ¥700 million to ¥350 million, and is expected to decline significantly year on year.
The full-year earnings forecasts were also revised downward, with revenue, operating profit, ordinary profit and net income all expected to fall below plan. Measures under the medium-term management plan will continue, but profit margins in the apparel wholesale business are expected to remain vulnerable to the weaker yen. No change to the dividend forecast has been announced at this time.
The revisions were attributed to uncertainty surrounding domestic and international political and economic conditions, higher procurement costs due to the weaker yen, weak sales of summer clothing resulting from unsettled weather, and increased costs associated with making シャルズ a consolidated subsidiary.
