Sales of FalconVault, a solution for protecting edge AI models, have been announced, with availability beginning on 20 October 2026. Encryption and TPM integration enable decryption and execution only on designated devices and in authorised environments.
Tokyo Electron Device Limited will begin selling FalconVault on 20 October 2026 to protect edge AI models from leakage, unauthorised use and tampering. The solution encrypts models on edge devices and uses TPM to bind them to designated devices, enabling use only in authorised environments. The technology is the subject of a patent application and is intended to protect intellectual property and support secure deployment.
FalconVault encrypts and binds models to devices to prevent decryption and execution when they are taken outside the authorised environment. It also controls access through an application allowlist. The solution is designed to support Windows-based edge devices from evaluation and deployment through product implementation and operation, enabling products to be rolled out in a secure operating environment.
Potential applications include industrial and medical equipment operating offline, OEM products for production lines, and in-store terminals requiring low latency and local processing. The solution is intended for situations involving models for specific applications, generative AI and physical AI. Licensing options include evaluation and production versions, with initial and monthly fees available.
A keynote at EdgeTech+ 2026 is scheduled as part of the company's planned trade-show presentations. The presentation will introduce initiatives focused on preparing Windows environments for edge AI and protecting intellectual property. Tokyo Electron Device is a technology trading company operating in the semiconductor and IT fields, and aims to help address social challenges by providing solutions that include intellectual property protection.
