Kappa Sushi will hold the “Nagano City Fair: Sustainability with Kappa” collaboration fair with Nagano City, the company’s birthplace. The first phase is scheduled for 1–21 October and the second phase for 22 October–11 November.
Kappa Sushi will work with Nagano City to hold the “Nagano City Fair: Sustainability with Kappa,” offering products that make use of local ingredients. As the company’s birthplace, Nagano City is the focus of the fair as part of its appreciation for the local area and contribution to the community. The fair will be held at stores in Nagano Prefecture, Tokyo and 3 surrounding prefectures, with the aim of highlighting Nagano City’s natural environment and food culture.
The first phase will feature desserts using Nagano City-grown Queen Rouge and Shine Muscat grapes, including the “Queen Rouge & Shine Muscat Taste Comparison.” The black-tea jelly parfait “with Soy Sauce Caramel Ice Cream” will also be introduced, while a 5-piece plate using shoyu beans, a local Nagano Prefecture dish, and Kappa Sticks will also be available.
The second phase will feature sweets using sauce made from Fuji apples grown in Nagano City, as well as suggested pairings with sushi items. The apple sauce will also be sold separately, and the menu will make use of “Kanjuku” Fuji apples grown in a climate with large temperature differences between day and night.
Participating stores during the campaign are Kappa Sushi restaurants in Nagano, Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa and Chiba prefectures. Some stores undergoing renovations or temporarily closed will be excluded. Items may sell out or sales may end depending on weather, supply conditions and demand.
