ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation has established CTC-SYSTEX, a joint venture with Taiwan’s SYSTEX, creating an integrated support platform for Taiwanese companies entering the Japanese market, from building their IT environments through to operations. The two companies will jointly provide IT infrastructure design, implementation and operations in Japan based on requirements set by the companies’ headquarters in Taiwan.
ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC) announced that it has established CTC-SYSTEX, a joint venture with SYSTEX CORPORATION (SYSTEX), a major Taiwanese IT services company, to provide IT services for Taiwanese companies expanding into Japan. The new company combines CTC’s IT service capabilities with SYSTEX’s customer base to support Taiwanese companies from the launch of their IT environments in Japan through to ongoing operations.
CTC-SYSTEX will provide operations services in Japan based on requirements established by the companies’ headquarters in Taiwan. As Taiwanese companies, particularly those in the semiconductor industry, accelerate their expansion into Japan, demand for IT infrastructure and security is expected to grow. Against this backdrop, the new company will establish an integrated structure covering local equipment procurement, implementation, maintenance and operations.
CTC provides end-to-end services from consulting through design, implementation, operations and maintenance, while SYSTEX has strengths in IT services for the financial, manufacturing and public sectors. The new company will provide design and implementation of IT infrastructure, network, cloud and security environments, equipment procurement, post-implementation help-desk services, monitoring, and nationwide maintenance and operations.
The company plans to support expansion into Japan and integrated business development between Japan and Taiwan by combining SYSTEX’s ability to identify suitable solutions locally in Taiwan with CTC’s customer base in Japan. Its head office will be located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, and Asano Shuzo (浅野周三), formerly of CTC, will serve as representative director and president.
