As the first project of Nihonbashi River Walk, “Tokyo Midtown Nihonbashi,” located in the redevelopment area along the Nihonbashi River, was completed on 30 September 2026. The grand opening is scheduled for sometime in 2027.
The release also announced the design of the logo, explaining that the project aims to create a district that generates and communicates new value from Nihonbashi to the world under the concept “Japan’s starting point, worthy of pride around the world.”
The office space is scheduled to be occupied in stages by companies operating in Japan and overseas, including the headquarters of Nomura Holdings and Daiichi Sankyo, as well as Bank of America’s Japan operations.
The project is positioned as the first phase of Nihonbashi River Walk, which is promoting the development of an approximately 11 ha district that makes use of the waterfront along the Nihonbashi River. It will proceed in coordination with surrounding redevelopment and utility-undergrounding projects.
