The shared digital waybill Bit Waybill has been officially launched. It aims to enable collaborative and relay transport as a logistics data platform connecting information from shippers, carriers and WMS providers.
Logizard officially launched the shared digital waybill Bit Waybill on 21 October. By assigning a common ID to cargo and connecting transport information that had been fragmented across companies, it aims to promote the service as a platform supporting collaborative and relay transport.
Bit Waybill's core functions are assigning a common ID to cargo, tracking transport status and recording transport histories. It is designed for cargo consolidated on pallets. Information about the contents can also be linked to the waybill data, allowing the end-to-end transport status to be checked using the common ID even when cargo passes through multiple companies.
The system uses blockchain to make information difficult to tamper with and improve reliability across companies. Existing internal management IDs do not need to be completely replaced. By linking the common ID with each company's own ID, the system connects the flow of cargo between companies while preserving existing management practices.
