Apple is expected to unveil the next-generation Apple Watch Ultra 4 at its new product launch event on 10 September 2026. Reports suggest that the number of internal sensors may double and that the watch will feature a new chip.
Local reports suggest that Apple’s next-generation flagship, the Apple Watch Ultra 4, is expected to be unveiled at an event scheduled for 2 a.m. Japan time on 10 September. The key features are expected to include enhanced health and fitness tracking and a new-generation chip designed for the Siri AI era.
Digitimes reports that the number of internal sensor components will double, raising the possibility of improved measurement accuracy for blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen, as well as the addition of new metrics. The previously reported hypertension-related feature is under FDA review, and some reports suggest that it may be released soon.
9to5Mac expects the chip to be upgraded to an S11 or S12. Combined with reports that Siri AI integration will advance in watchOS 27, this has led to speculation that the watch will have a stronger foundation for running AI features smoothly.
On the design front, reports of major changes conflict with views that the design will remain largely unchanged. Possible differentiation measures reportedly include ceramic case materials and the addition of new color options.
