Casio Computer announced that it will launch the new OCW-P3000 in the sporty KASHALOT line of OCEANUS on 16 October. Its features include a function for viewing the time in cities worldwide at a glance and the first use of TOUGH MVT. 2.
The new KASHALOT OCW-P3000 features a time-zone navigator that enables users to view the time in cities around the world at a glance and will be offered in 3 models. The variations are the OCW-P3000-2AJF (blue), OCW-P3000-3AJF (green) and OCW-P3000B-1AJF (blue/black DLC).
The exterior uses a ceramic bezel and titanium case and bracelet. The rotating bezel has a two-tone design with a 24-hour display arranged to distinguish day and night clearly. A vapor-deposition treatment is applied to the surface to enhance legibility and finish.
The watch is the first OCEANUS model to feature the new “TOUGH MVT. 2.” Shock and magnetic-field detection enable automatic hand-position correction and stop-and-resume operation when affected by magnetic fields, improving the accuracy of the time display.
The watch uses a light-shielding, distributed solar panel that receives light for solar power generation through the main dial, combining abrasion resistance with color reproduction. The case and bracelet are made of lightweight titanium.
