YScope will launch the AI voice recorder “Comu Action Pro” in Japan on 20 August. The second-generation model was announced earlier in the US and features AI support for tasks extending beyond the meeting itself.
YScope, the Japanese distributor, began selling “Comu Action Pro” on 20 August as the second-generation product from US-based Comu, formerly known as Comulytic. The standard launch price in Japan is ¥39,800, but the product will be available for ¥29,800 for a limited period.
Key features include high-quality recording, real-time transcription, translation and summarization in 113 languages, as well as drafting follow-up emails, extracting action items and preparing presentation drafts. The device has a 6-microphone configuration, with noise reduction designed for a pickup range of approximately 7 meters.
Features to support pre-meeting preparation are also planned, including advance organization of meeting topics and risks. Continuous recording lasts up to 70 hours, while the battery has a capacity of 1000mAh and takes approximately 120 minutes to charge via USB-C.
The announcement also covers the price, the brand name change, the product naming policy and data protection policies. The brand website will move to comu.com. A Japanese-language website has also been launched, providing support information and other content in Japanese.
