Dyson has announced the new Dyson Nurovi series. The Japan lineup comprises the 2 models R2 Wash+Dry and R1 Dry, a robot vacuum cleaner series that combines wet-mopping functionality with high cleaning performance.
Dyson has announced its new robot vacuum cleaner series, Dyson Nurovi, and said that the Japan lineup will comprise the 2 models Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry and Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry. R2 Wash+Dry will launch on 4 September 2026, while R1 Dry is scheduled to launch soon.
The Dyson Nurovi series is designed to combine advanced sensor technology with intelligent software to clean as far as room corners and along walls. Features include newly developed wet-mopping wash pads, an extendable side brush and the Twin-capture system.
Key features of the Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry include a three-corner Rulo wet-mopping wash pad for cleaning room corners, an extendable side brush that picks up dust along walls, and an automatic dust-collection dock equipped with 8 Dyson cyclones that collects dust in a sealed container. The R1 Nurovi Dry incorporates similar mechanisms, but its wet-mopping function is less extensive than that of the R2.
The MyDyson app provides management functions including mapping, room-specific mode settings, no-go zones, real-time reports and remaining-time estimates. The design also takes data protection into consideration.
