MetaReal and its consolidated subsidiary Rozetta have begun accepting applications to provide fully automated English translations of earnings summaries free of charge for 3 months to companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market.
The background is that, from April 2025, the Tokyo Stock Exchange made simultaneous English disclosure of earnings information and timely disclosure information a general requirement for companies listed on the Prime Market. Although English disclosure is becoming more widespread, only some companies have progressed to translating the full text, with the burden of human review after translation cited as one factor. In response, MetaReal has begun accepting applications for English translation support. Efforts to reduce the burden of English disclosure while maintaining quality are attracting attention.
Under the program, applications will be accepted from 14 October to 31 December 2026, with quarterly earnings summaries as the main target. The service supports importing glossaries and standardizing the names of companies, businesses and segments, and users must register reference translations. Earnings summaries are statutory disclosure documents covered by the conditions for MetaRozetta's fully automated translation Level 4. Quality is said to have been verified internally with an extremely low rate of mistranslation, although details will be announced at a later date.
As an operational consideration, the English translation of earnings summaries will not completely eliminate final human checks, and responsibility for deciding whether to make an English disclosure will remain with each company. Earnings summaries scheduled for disclosure on the 15th are expected to be translated in the highest-accuracy mode and disclosed without further manual corrections, although the extent of automation will be left to each company's judgment.
