The project is for technical interns and specified skilled foreign workers employed by small and medium-sized enterprises in Shimane Prefecture.
明光キャリアパートナーズ was selected as the contractor for the online Japanese-language learning support project for foreign workers conducted by the Shimane Prefecture Federation of Small and Medium Enterprise Associations. The project is for companies in Shimane Prefecture that currently employ or plan to accept technical interns or specified skilled foreign workers.
The project will provide the Japanese-language e-learning system "Japany" to support the improvement and retention of the Japanese-language skills required for work and daily life. The prefecture will subsidize part of the cost, with the system offered at ¥4,950 per person versus the list price of ¥9,900 per person.
The program is expected to support 100 people. The process through to the start of use includes a declaration, application, screening, a payment notice and guidance on the login ID. Japany's strengths include high-quality learning materials, more than 1,700 videos, visualisation of learning progress and multilingual support.
Applications are open from August through the end of November 2026. Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises and other businesses in Shimane Prefecture, excluding those in the nursing care and nursing fields.
